Lowcountry Water Damage ("the Service", "we") operates this website and a telephone referral line for the Charleston, South Carolina metro area. The Service connects homeowners who report water damage with independent, third-party restoration providers. The Service is not a restoration company, does not employ technicians, and does not perform, supervise, or warrant any restoration work.
No contractor relationship
Any work arranged after a referral is agreed directly between the homeowner and the independent provider. The provider — not the Service — is responsible for its own licensing, insurance, pricing, scheduling, workmanship, and compliance with applicable law. The Service is not a party to that agreement and receives no authority over it.
Disclaimer: Lowcountry Water Damage is a free service to assist homeowners in connecting with local service providers. All contractors/providers are independent and Lowcountry Water Damage does not warrant or guarantee any work performed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to verify that the hired contractor furnishes the necessary license and insurance required for the work being performed. All persons depicted in a photo or video are actors or models and not contractors listed on Lowcountry Water Damage.
Homeowner responsibility
It is the homeowner's responsibility to verify that any hired contractor furnishes the license and insurance required for the work performed. South Carolina license status can be checked through theSouth Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR).
Emergencies
The call line is not an emergency service. If there is risk to life or safety — electrical hazard in standing water, structural collapse, gas — call 911 first.
Compensation
The Service is free for homeowners. The Service may receive compensation from providers or referral networks for connecting calls, as described in ourDisclosure.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the line or the site for unlawful purposes, or to place false or automated calls.
- Do not scrape, republish, or misrepresent the content of this site as your own.
- Do not attempt to interfere with the operation of the site or the call line.
Intellectual property
The content of this site — text, design, and graphics — belongs to the Service or its licensors. Informational content may be shared with attribution and a link.
Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
